How it works
- 01
Click the surface to start the clock. The timer runs from your first click, not from page load, so you never lose milliseconds to reaction time.
- 02
Every click is timestamped. Your CPS is the total divided by the window length; peak CPS is the fastest sustained stretch inside it.
- 03
The trace under the surface plots the gap between each click. Even bars mean a steady rhythm — ragged bars mean you're burst-clicking.
Common questions
What is a good CPS score?
Most people land between 5 and 8 CPS with normal clicking. Above 10 usually means a technique like jitter or butterfly clicking. Competitive players sit in the 12–14 range.
Why is my CPS lower than I expected?
Test length matters. Almost everyone scores higher over 1 second than over 60, because sustaining a burst is harder than starting one. Compare scores at the same duration.
Does my mouse affect my score?
Yes. Switch bounce, a low polling rate, or a failing switch all cost you clicks. If your score dropped suddenly, run a double click test to rule out a hardware fault.
Is this test accurate?
It reads the same click events your games do, timed with a high-resolution clock. Browser timing is deliberately coarsened for security, so treat sub-millisecond differences as noise.
