Terms of Service
The short version: it's free, it's as-is, be reasonable.
The short version
Use the tools as much as you like, for anything you like, free and without an account. They measure what your browser reports, which is usually right and occasionally is not, so treat a result as evidence rather than proof. We make no promises about the site and cannot be liable for what you do with a reading. Don't attack the site or abuse the contact form.
That is the whole agreement. The sections below just say it more carefully.
Using the site
These terms apply between you and clicktest.pro when you use the site. Using it means you accept them. If you don't, the remedy is simple and costs you nothing: close the tab.
There is no account to register, nothing to buy and no subscription to cancel, so there is nothing here about billing, renewals or termination. We may change or withdraw any tool at any time.
What the measurements are, and are not
Every tool on this site measures the input events your browser hands to the page, and the times it reports for them. That is a good proxy for what your hardware did, and it is what the tests are built on.
It is not a laboratory instrument. Browser timing is deliberately coarsened, a busy machine can delay an event by milliseconds, and polling rate, wireless links, drivers and background load all sit between your finger and the number on the screen. Two runs will not match exactly, and neither is wrong.
This matters most on the diagnostic tools. A gap under 70 ms is strong evidence of switch bounce, because human fingers cannot press twice that quickly — but it is evidence, not a verdict. A result here is not a professional diagnosis, a warranty assessment, or a substitute for your manufacturer's own testing. Run the test more than once before you conclude anything, and expect a retailer or manufacturer to reach their own decision regardless of what this page told you.
No warranty
The site and everything on it are provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement.
We don't promise the site will be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with your device or browser. It is a free tool, run without an uptime commitment, and it may be offline, changed, or discontinued without notice.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or your reliance on a result it produced. That expressly includes decisions about hardware — returning, repairing, replacing or keeping a mouse, keyboard or controller — and any cost, lost time or lost opportunity that follows from one.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
What we ask of you
Use the tools for anything you want, including commercially: check a mouse before you sell it, test a hundred units in a repair shop, screenshot a score for a tournament entry. Your results are yours, and you never need our permission to publish them.
What we ask you not to do is short:
- Don't try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or the server it runs on.
- Don't use the contact form to send bulk, automated, threatening or unlawful messages. It exists so one person can reach us about one problem.
- Don't republish the site's pages as your own. The tools, the design and the writing are ours; a link, a quote or a screenshot is welcome, a copy of the site is not.
Messages you send us
If you write to us through the contact form, you keep ownership of what you send, and you give us permission to read it and reply — which is all we do with it. Please don't send confidential material or anything you would mind us storing while we deal with it.
What is stored, what is not, and how to have a message deleted are set out in the privacy policy. Where these terms and that page describe the same thing, the privacy policy is the more specific and more accurate one.
Changes to these terms
If the site gains something these terms don't cover — accounts, payments, saved results, anything that changes the relationship — this page is updated in the same change and the date below moves.
