Minecraft CPS Test
Measure the click speed that matters for Minecraft PvP.
How it works
- 01
Minecraft's combat applies an attack cooldown, so raw CPS past a point stops converting into damage in 1.9+ combat.
- 02
On 1.8 PvP servers, where most competitive play still happens, higher CPS does directly help — which is why the community cares about this number.
- 03
The default window matches the Kohi benchmark most servers compare against.
Common questions
What CPS do I need for Minecraft PvP?
On 1.8 servers, 8 to 12 CPS is competitive. In 1.9+ combat the attack cooldown means timing your hits matters far more than raw speed.
Will a high CPS get me banned?
Sustained rates above roughly 15 CPS look like automation to most anti-cheat systems. Consistently even intervals are what actually triggers a flag.
Does CPS matter in newer Minecraft versions?
Much less. The 1.9 combat update added a cooldown that rewards well-timed hits over fast ones.
